Narutaru is an interesting work, using elements from series like Pokemon or Digimon, it deconstructs them and talks about how children develop and the different parenting styles that parents adopt and how these have consequences on children

In addition to all this mix, the author also mixes an interest in the military world and a critique of the American military presence in Japan

But the soul of Narutaru are the dragon children, an alien race that has to establish a psychic connection with humans. At first, all dragons are shaped like stars, but it is the desires and goals of their bearers that twist them into monsters that are a window into the psyche of the characters. Another interesting topic that this work touches on is about power and how some teenagers would use said power if it were given to them

Some people find it repugnant or boring, but within all that there is a story that is somewhat unique within the medium, becoming somewhat depressing at times, and that tries to do something that is rarely done. tried to do
