This is probably what you'd call a "diabetes" anime. Overall it's just a slice of life, so you can't expect some crazy story or plots, but it's pretty consistent at fulfilling its purpose of being a chill anime.

Genuinely funny at times, but I wouldn't necessasrily label it as comedy, it's more on the "silly" side rather than funny which makes sense as it's a childcare anime afterall. There's a recurring joke that Anzu, a girl in the kindergarten, has a crush on Tsuchi. It's not uncomfortable or anything, but it's a bit annoying and repetitive, it's one of the main themes of the shows, it's recurring in every episode.

Sometimes the show tries to be a bit more than it is with the slightly annoying romance plot between Tsuchi and another kindergarten teacher. Maybe this tiny bit of spice was needed to make sure it's not completely bland, but the amount of screentime it took up falls short in comparison to how little it adds to the show. It's the same old jokes, their relationship doesn't really change throughout the show, it's just another angle on the "Tsuchi punching bag".

If you're looking for a light, heartwarming and occasionally funny slice of life anime, it's really good.
