Easily my favorite Anipoke season. In my opinion this really Ash at his best in a lot of things. Number one, it's the best visually Pokemon series I've seen, and the story arc with Alain and the Team Flare arc is without question the best Pokemon anime arc I've ever had the pleasure to sit through. The last third of XYZ is probably my favorite last third of any pokemon anime season, and I think that the final battle was and it is still so beautiful to watch with Zygarde vs Lysandre being next level. That fight is one of my favorite fights I've ever seen in anime, it's up there with fights like Netero vs Meruem and Naruto vs Pain for example, honestly. But there's so much more I enjoy about this series. It wasn't perfect, but it still is one of my personal favorite anime series of all time.
