This is a short ova following a critter named Baja and their friend, Quacky/"Ga chan," as they navigate through their daily life in the animation studio.
In the daytime, we see the through Baja's eyes the struggles of the animation director, Kanako, who stresses about work and wishes to visit the sea again.
But in the night, a magical fairy named Coco gets to grant a wish to Baja, while also fighting with her rival/nemesis(?), Gi.
Visually, this ova is charming. All the characters are drawn in a cutesy, childlike way and the animation also reflects this when we're shown Coco's magic.
The characters are also fun to watch with Baja being this curious creature who wants to learn more about the world. Coco and Gi also balance each other out through their banter.
Seeing this, knowing about the events of the Kyoani arson attack, makes it a melancholic watch. This was Kigami's final work, and the ova shows that despite Kanako's stressing about work, we see that she is in a much more laid back environment, reflecting Kyoani's message of community.
Still, this is a cozy ova that I recommend to anyone.
