The first thing I'm going to say is, if like me you watch two episodes and Tiaga annoys you. Try and stick with it for a couple more episodes, I did and honestly I don't regret it. I really can't express what Toradora did for me while I was watching it. I became really invested in the characters, more so than ANY anime before. This show moved me so much, that when it ended, I came on here and was in the forum, ranting passionately about how I thought the male MC had ended up with the wrong girl. I mean frothing at the mouth mad as hell, I've rarely been that moved. But then I ended up on the Toradora Reddit page and soon realised my reaction to this anime was typical of most people who watch it. If you watch this show, be prepared to laugh, cry, cry some more, get angry, possible throw the tv remote and swear never to watch another episode, only to find your fingers pressing the NEXT button.
I'm not going to give you a review of the show, I'm not even going to give a summery, all I'm going to say is if you like a good romance and want to feel it, this certainly offers all those things. It's well written, to the point of frustration and you will come out the other side emotionally battered. About a week or two after I finished watching this show, I realised I was wrong about who should have ended up with who, but it took me two weeks to realise that. That's how invest my subconscious was with these fictional characters!! That is the sign of a good story.
I'm giving it a 9/10 purely on petty, selfish reasons. I wanted to see an OVA of them main characters living their lives together, maybe even showing them having kids. Truly a lovely story and I'm both pleased to have stumbled upon it during a late night browse of Netflix and gutted that it ended.
