I'm watching Nana in 2024 and gotta say, the 2000s vibe hits me hard with nostalgia. The anime has aged well, the nostalgic touch gives it an extra charm that enhances the setting and atmosphere. Each character is meaningful and super interesting. Love how each character has their own personality and you kinda see yourself in each of them despite their drastic differences. If I had to compare Nana to a movie, it's like The Breakfast Club but with a punk and emo twist. The romances are realistic, well-written and endearing. Some lines are so beautifully written, feels like they're straight out of a poem, it's touching. I was expecting more Yuri, but let's just say it's subtly hinted haha. Definitely a favorite anime thanks to all the characters and their back stories!
