Never had to witness a more poorly written and generic anime in all my years of watching anime. It makes you wonder if they just picked up a random person off the street and asked them to write something real quick. This show is generic, taken to the absolute extreme. Years later, I still randomly get reminded of this anime and how it robbed me of my time.
From basically the first to second episode, all you are thinking is, "Is this some prank on the industry? Can an anime really be this bad? Are they doing some money laundering with this by losing on purpose?" The anime also didn't age really well at all.
The CG animation at the end is just a final insult to everyone still watching. It felt like J.C Staff knew the source material is just bad and then went and put 0 effort into the show. Can't really blame them all that much. I would feel offended having to animate this too.
The whole virus story just makes no sense at all and of course isn't explained because the author didn't even think about it when making it. The story had so many loose ends.
