Aria the Animation is an amazing experience for people who want to know what the point of this life is or for people who likes a lot a series about nice characters’ daily life. This series is basically the pinnacle of the Slice of Life. Most of the characters have the letter A as their initial of their name. This season is where the journey begins by introducing the characters.

This series has an amazing soundtrack, which was composed by Choro Club and Senoo. It’s really soothing to hear and makes you feel really good. Character design is very good as well. The opening has different versions each episode, making it unique and not repetitive, and it’s too hard to skip if you don’t want to miss something in one or other episode.

Characters are very nice and convey a message, which is making effort of things, doing what you like and you are good at, and find the point of life no matter how problematic this be. Akari has a very positive attitude and finds solve all type of problems if she finds them, she is very chill and never gets upset for things that people normally get for, same as Alicia, besides being a talented Undine (which is a word to refer to female gondoliers). Aika is a little relatable because she is very normal in almost every aspect, she is like her teacher, Akira. Alice is a mysterious girl and who some introverted people can relate to. Athena could be another relatable character, especially for beginners at something. The story is lineal but doesn’t bring a large conflict for this moment, there are very touching episodes, every character does what they find very likeable, none seems to dislike what they are doing. World-building is awesome as well, the author understands that Mars is a planet that has 24 months, it could be there many short months or long months. The series explains you how the planet is maintained terraformed, with the help of Salamanders and Gnomes, the first one maintaining the air, oxygen and weather, and the second one maintaining the gravity stable. There is an episode where Aqua’s background is seen.

But the negative side of this show is the pacing, the pacing can be very slow for people who like fast-paced stories and are into shows that blow up their hormones. Besides, there is an episode that could be not for some people, there are some sappy lines about optimism and there is a fat cat that could be obnoxious at times. The animation could not be the best since there are some bad frames, but overall is good for its time.

My personal experience was a smile every episode, a dose of dopamine and serotonin, and relaxation. Give it a try without prejudices and thank you for reading.
