I love light novels, and I like when good ones are animated. However, I DO NOT want to listen to an audiobook while a slideshow is playing of the same room for 6 episodes and call it an anime, because that's what this season has been thus far. This is a failure of an adaptation. They have not translated this to an anime, because they are not animating it. People are defending it by saying that this is world building and not every episode needs to be a fight episode. World building is important and they chose to handle the massive amount of world building in this series in the laziest way possible by literally having the characters tell us what is going on. This show is not an example of bad content, it is however an example of good content delivered poorly.
I like the LN for this series, but I will FULLY concede that this is not the way it should or could have been adapted. At this point I would say that unless something changes, this season shouldn't have been adapted at all.
