Definitely the best of the 4 Persona 3 movies. The stage it sets in the opening is handled really well, setting up this gloomy atmosphere and mood for our main characters as they head into a battle with their own thoughts. Some exclusive scenes were in this that are not in the game and I actually enjoyed some of the additions and they added a bit more depth. In the end though I can't help but be disappointed, there was never much representation of any of the social links which is fair to the run time but I feel is integral to the game. Then in the end I never had much positive feelings towards Makoto in this, he was very boring throughout the movies and while he switched up a little in this movie it was too little too late. Overall it was an ok movie but without having seen the games I'm not sure I would've been able to enjoy it very much. Despite its strengths, the lack of focus on the social links and the underwhelming portrayal of Makoto may leave fans of the game feeling unsatisfied with this adaptation.
