If you are looking for an easy watch, this really is the show for you. I think when it comes to shonen, there are some shows that tend to get criticized way more than others based on the fandom or if the main character gets too much plot armor. In the case of MHA, it is certainly due to the fandom and the fact this show is obviously geared towards middle schoolers therefore the lack of dark topics but that isn't always a bad thing. I think MHA does a good job not making Deku be some character that immediately beats his rivals but rather he learns slowly, and I think this season is a pretty good reflection.
I remember when the first season came out and I loved this show but when the second season came out, I started to get embarrassed about it and started to dislike it a lot. Now completing the fourth season years later as someone in their 20s, I don't think this show is as bad as many make it out to be when we really sit down and compare to other shows. MHA is honestly an easy show to watch and turn your brain off while watching it in the background. Certainly, is no masterpiece by all means and has a rough start being pretty boring if I were to be honest but it's alright when you get past that.
