The people frustrated at this show don't really understand the idea that the characters are not written to be likeable. Their actions ARE stupid. Their choices ARE irresponsible. The building tension through the series leads to an overwhelming feeling of ABSOLUTE dread. There is no hope for any sort of happy ending, and what we ended up with was probably the closest one could get to a conclusion. The truth is that the show is a well-executed punch in gut, which leaves you reeling for it's entire runtime. Makoto continues deeper into depravity as he substitutes the women in his life with more debauchery. As everything stacks up against him, and we finally see some form of retribution, it's too late. No character makes it out unscathed in this story, and it's a damn good one.
8/10. I really think they should've done more development of his character, why exactly he's seeking these things. It's mentioned multiple times he is a bit of a perv and he's touchy. But I would rather like to know how that translates into the state he is in by about Episode 7.
