He is giving them those costumes ready on a platter. Plus they never mention the costumes being itchy on the inside or having loose ends. That means this mofo not only making these costumes but he is patching and padding them on the inside, he is making them like regular dresses you are supposed to wear out.
The worst offender of all, momma grew up during Hoxha's communist Albania and they had better machine in the sweatshop she worked at than his machine. If you had to work on his machine for half an hour you would throw that junk on her FACE, his machine couldn't sew 2 post it notes together. Then they show him using the school sewing machine for better results. Bruh that school machine was still trash, garbagio my dude. Momma got that SINGER 2000$ that shit looks like a microscope my dude, 30 threads a second, it sounds like a machine gun, tatatata, and that job is still hard even with the best equipment. His machine was making 1 thread every 2 seconds. He might as well had hand-stitch them.
Another thing. The protagonist needs some attitude, this line of work will give you an attitude whether you like it or not. Also cutting corners the maid costume, they could have bought a regular maid outfit and added all the details of the character she is cosplaying.
