The characters are all typical anime characters. High school boys and girls, a mature guy, a cute character, a shy character, and list go on.
In my opinion and based on what I seen so far, Many elements are borrowed from the different sources. Like the controlling machines which reminds me of Avatar Movie(although it was not machine that were controlled(?)). A sword weapon came from the chest of a girl which reminds me of an anime that I have forgotten name, and so on.
I don't recommend it to be must watch but a good anime overall.
