honestly. if it was a 24-30 episodes series that is maybe divided into seasons it would be much better. to watch 100 episodes of this is tiring.
and yes it feels super outdated. the vilians also feel super cartoony. well. i know its a cartoon and all. but still.
edit: i want to add more to my review as i feel what i wrote wasent enough. i will explain why i stopped watching it without getting into spoilers.
so basically. as i said. when the show started i was getting excited because the it had interesting fight scenes, it had a cool story, and more. and yes i do think that while the animation is little bit clunky its still good enough to love it.
the problem was that basically the show dosent have time to breath. its basically a "villian of the day" kind of show. where there alot of vilians and each few episodes focus on another vilian. and because DAI and his friends has the plot armor and they always win thats boring.
now at some point you think to yourself. whats the point? the show dosent really have a good story. it has some nice fight scenes and thats it. the villians are nothing but one dimentional cartooney bad guys just as i said. most of them are just evil for no reason. few of them have real motivation. but most of them do not.
i just wonder. this show is 100 episodes and the reason there is no real reason to watch it is because it will probably wont continue for much time anyway. so why invest yourself watching 100 episodes of a show that is based on a manga that came out 30 years ago and ended? and also. its dragon quest but it has nothing to do with any of the dragon quest games. which lead me to the next point. same as pokemon. why dident they made the show based on the actual games? the same mistake they did with pokemon exactly. they dumbed down the story for no reason.
also. yes. like i said. the story is just boring. and the show instead of giving the viewer some time to breath with some episodes that are slice of life maybe the show just throw you from vilian to vilian immidiatly. and you feel to yourself. "damm not again".
like i said. its basically "vilian of the day" anime. dumb down to appeal to kids by making the vilians cartooney and having no motivation whatsoever.
i mean. dragon ball was also made for kids. but dragon ball vilians are at least interesting. with good backstory and actual motivations. even in super. and dragon ball while not heaving the best story still have somewhat of an interesting story.
again. i dont hate this show. i just think its a waste of time to watch it. thats it.
