The list goes on and on and on. All shows, the MAL Rating would have you believe that this show is better then.
The question is, is it? HELL TO THE FUCK NO. How this show has an 8.55 rating absolutely baffles the mind. Truly, its current rating has no rhyme, reason, or logic to it. "The World's Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat" is the exact same show, but way better. Way better.
To summarize: The show is more of the same. If you liked the first season, you'll like this one. If you haven't seen the first season, do you like OP protagonist? If the answer is yes, you'll probably like this show.
More details but still no spoilers: This season is the exact same as the first season. Our absolute cringelord of a protagonist pretends to be a weakling. And the show physically hurts to watch while he's doing so. Then he'll swap personas to being Shadow, and will actually be pretty cool to watch (though still kind of cringe). He's an idiot, where every random thing he does on a whim happens to be the best possible thing he could have done. He's ridiculously OP compared to the rest of his Verse, but he'll still fight a little bit just to make the opponent believe that they have a chance of winning. The animation is great (but what show doesn't have great animation nowadays?). The story is ass. The plot is bloody stupid. The entire cast, outside of the protagonist in weakling mode, is for the most part good. The cast is one of this show's strong points. Characters that didn't have a strong impact in the first season, you will come to love her (roof). The voice acting is good. The sound design is excellent, but nothing truly special like Fire Force. The comedy is abysmal—almost Demon Slayer levels of bad. I didn't even realize this show was supposed to be a Comedy until I read some reviews and saw the tags. There is nothing funny to be found here. And that's about all I can say without spoiling anything.
Summary: This show should be rated a 7.5, and that's with a wank. If you're just looking for something to watch, this show is not worth the watch. If you're looking specifically for animes with OP protagonists, this show is definitely worth a watch. I love shows with OP protagonists so I quite like it. But objectively, is it that good? NO. And is it even close to 8.5 good, HELL NO.
