Story
Story is probaly the weakest point for the show. But I can forgive it since the run time is only ~50 minutes. Atleast we can see all these characters again that, personally I miss so much since the 3rd movie which was also underwheming for me. If you want the short version you can just read the synopsis and then read the results. That's all there is. But if you want a nice Slice of Life show that the show has been providing in Season 1 and 2. Then great! There's plenty of that. I'm just happy that Kumiko got some character developments at all in this short movie tbh.
Animation & Sound
Even though I did see this in theatre it's still just an Anime. It doesn't push the production up to eleven like perhaps Makoto Shinkai's flim. It's just classic Kyoani things that we've been seeing. However, that doesn't make the show bad in any means. It's still pleasant to look at and overall it doesn't bogs the show down. Everything you want from prior installments are still here. The one downside for the show is that there just isn't a full long performance from any group in the show. There's only a short version spreaded out in the show. The longest one being like 1 minutes long only. The Ending is pretty good though.
Overall thoughts
This show is not a must watch for me. But it was nice getting a nice refresh before Season 3 comes out next year. I'm left feeling unsastified however since there's no proper ending, like in other season/movie it would always end with a conclusion, or competition that would leave you feeling complete or atleast sastified that all of the characters in the show had put in their effort and resulted in... anything at all. And this show doesn't provide me any of that. The Animation was nice, but Kyoani has always been nice and it's what I expect.
I guess if you literally watched everything in this series then sure, watch this too. But if you didn't then I don't think it's that great.
