Populated with humans, demons, and a unique hero – demonlord dynamic, this urban fantasy world is reminiscent of early 00s manga like Fullmetal Alchemist with cobblestone cities and a hard magic system that is easy to intuit. The manga presents our protagonist, Corleo, with the conventional shounen quest of growth and mastery of his role as this world's hero. But even among familiar tropes and an expanding supporting cast, Mamayuyu quickly adapts to its own pace as each new chapter further endears readers to its memorable characters.
With an engaging story and some of the most creative paneling in recent memory, I ardently hope this manga continues and exceeds the heights of these early chapters.
