A very rare shojo anime that blew me away. A very deep story based on historical facts, real characters, with the addition of fictitious characters and the connections between all of them perfectly depicts the period of France at the end of the 18th century and the people who lived at that time. The characters are perfectly done, even the supporting ones, everyone has their own story, and everyone is present in the anime for a reason. A combination of historical facts, the complexity of the characters, how each of them copes with problems, both of a personal nature and those caused by the state of the country at that time. Plus, it's a rare anime where the female characters are treated so well and deeply, not only Lady Oscar, but also the supporting ones. This is an anime that evokes emotions, both happy and sad. The art and music are also excellent, they remind me of a fairy tale.
