the show mainly focuses on the dynamic between the two main characters: shamiko and momo. thankfully, shamiko and momo are both extremely likeable characters and are easy to watch. the only real downside of this show is that it might be slow at times, but the appeal of the show was never about the plot. but even then, there is a plot (albeit simple) and it does progress throughout the show, so it isn't just shamiko and momo doing nothing all season long. machikado mazoku is one of those shows that leaves you feeling all warm and happy inside; if you're stressed from school, life, family, friends, or whatever, put this show on, watch a few episodes, and you'll definitely feel better.
if you've just finished up a big series, are looking for a quick show to watch, or hit that mid-season slump where there's nothing good to watch, i'd 10/10 recommend this show to you. i'm honestly surprised that not many people know this show exists!
