It’s been a awesome season in anime for car enthusiasts
But unfortunately… the story line wasn’t for me…
Freelance photographer Kouya Madoka is in the midst of a slump due to a certain reason. While working on a story at the Fuji International Speedway, he meets the high school F4 racer Haruka Asahina and he suddenly finds his heart racing once again. He decides to support Asahina and help him make his dream come true with the small team, Komaki Motors. With this, the lives of Madoka and Asahina
I don’t care how my review gets judged
Cause I am judging this anime from a car guy racing fan perspective
And it lacks… a lot of racing time
The majority of the episodes revolves around the characters… and that’s fine if you want to watch an anime about character development or drama
But I am here for the racing the technical side of things
I was hoping for the main driver Kouya to focus on his racing career but I was disappointed in the end
This anime is more focused for people who don’t really wanna sit and watch racing or read car talk dialogue…
Pretty disappointed…
Like the anime showcases real life race Tracks in japan like fuji speed way and auto polis and Suzuka
And the first episode got me with all the racing aesthetics
Showing super GT cars at Fuji speed way
But the storyline was a bit eh dramatic… couldn’t have cared less for the photographer… I mean poor guy and all
But as a racing fan and car guy I wanted more car talk more races… . It was to focused on characters and not the racing it self
But in second and third episode I could tell it wasn’t made for car racing fans… just the average anime watcher…
