CBDCT without getting gay. It's like an oasis in the desert. No ikemen fan service, no bath scenes with too many dicks around, no bait, no shrieking girl. Although source material artwork seems a little cringe, Pierrot did a very good job on the adaptation. It's a satisfactory series for Japanese folktales, especially yokai enthusiasts.

I think the employer dude has some loose inspirations from Kusuriuri, and the underworld art somewhat resembles Mononoke. These are enough reasons to get me hooked actually. Aside from that, I find the tearoom idea brilliant, creatures are cute without suffocating the viewer with overdone silliness, comedy is sweet, lack of any kind romance is pleasing.

Chopper va for the fox spirit and Eren va for the employee dude all did very very funny jobs. I like both characters a lot.

I wish we could have seen some fights and mean spirited yokai to be destroyed, but it's a feel good anime so this would do too.
