Hametsu no Mars movie is an absolute fucking tearjerker that I love coming back to and showing it to people so they also suffer.
Despite having watched it three times already, I still cry with it because it's a story done to hurt you specially when you know what's gonna happen. It explores our desire of "I could of have done something better" a lot which is something I find incredibly interesting. It is definitely not a movie that can be watched alone without the anime so be aware of that.
In the movie we finally get to explore Makinohara Shouko's character in an extensive way which I truly appreciate because it's the only character that still had some questions around some might argue that we got edged way too hard but I definitely feel like the context of the anime was needed and that the execution of it was great.
