I started this anime because the concept appeared interesting and enjoyed the first episode so I read all 8 currently released LNs before episode 2 came out. This anime is a good adaptation of the source material, the issue is the source material isn't very good. So far it appears as if they've cut out most of the meaningless side stories that were used to pad page count in the LNs. To show how much of it there is there are currently 8 volumes of the series and even though they average just under 200 pages they're on track to adapt all of it by the end of the season. Which is crazy considering most LN adaptions usually do 2-4 novels per 12 episodes. This series suffers from good concept done poorly and its one of the few times I would rather the anime not stick to the source material. There's so much room for improvement that just wasn't used, though they did improve it some. Overall this series has left me unsatisfied for the concept and now I need to find it done well to scratch that itch.
