I stuck with this for 50 chapters hoping there'd be some redemption or character growth, but at this point I don't think I can do it anymore. I read it on recommendation of a friend, but to be honest, the characters are too dull. I have a hard time liking Hye-sung. It's like he's supposed to be tsundere, but I felt like he takes it too far. Maybe it's an issue with the tone of the translation I read. The way he wants to take advantage of people makes me dislike him. Dojin is pretty bland, but he has plenty of red flags himself.

As for Hye-sung, it's one thing to have a character with trauma who learns how to move on from it. It's another to have one that dwells on it or suppresses it without addressing it for so long, if at all? I don't know if they will, but they just keep mentioning his past traumas without him actually confronting or healing from anything. It's kind of frustrating to read because it seems like it's just being used as a way to excuse him from acting out of line at times.

I don't usually write reviews, but like another reviewer here, this one has been haunting me since I stopped reading it. The toxic relationship and the lackluster chemistry between the main love interests really failed my expectations, since it was unfortunately a rec by a friend who loves it. Now that I know it isn't going to get better, I'm just going to give up on it at this point. The characters are bland at best, and selfish and small minded at worst, with very little development as far as I made it through.
