It didn't bother me that the family was comically evil, unlike some other reviewers - that's fine. But was it necessary to hammer the point home for three episodes straight? At least approach the abuse from different angles if you're going to place so much emphasis on it. The female protagonist is also depressingly boring, to a degree that I got uncomfortable. The character's demure personality is in contrast to her evil step sister's brashness, so maybe it's just jealousy on part of the author? I don't know, and frankly - I don't want to know.
But what's really depressing is how beautifully animated this show is. I couldn't help myself from sampling the unknown pleasures that might have awaited me; now I know that I should have been more selective.
I really am very impressed though. It must have been difficult to write something this boring. 4/10
