I was definitely wrong: Buddy Daddies was really a surprise.
ANIMATIONS (10): surely the highlight of the show is this: every scene is extremely well-detailed, fluid and realistic, in particular dynamic ones like gunfights and hand-to-hand combats. I hardly saw animators put all this effort on animating a cartoon and I really didn't expect it from this one.
CHARACTERS (9): if it weren't for 2 or 3 elements, surely characters would get a 10.
I loved most of them: they're very charismatic, have a funny sense of humor and their dialogues felt very realistic.
Almost all of them are connected by similar horrible experiences and this helps characters interacting and emphatize with each other, creating a basic scenario, but always entertaining and pleasant to watch.
PLOT (8): the concept is similar to Spy X Family but presented in a different and original way: two assassins working for the Mafia have their lives completely changed after meeting a little child.
They can't actually stay with her because she's obviously an impediment for their job; anyway, they get attached to her and try to go on, even if it will be dangerous and they clearly know it.
I think the story is a bit too short and there isn't enough time for the anime to deepen some aspects of the plot, but I didn't really care and I found that the entire show had a solid structure and was really enjoyable.
ART (8): it is a common art style that many animes share, so my review won't be different: it is satisfying to watch, every characters is characterized very well in how they look (facial expressions, clothes, colors, etc.), standard environments and pretty good colors and lights.
OVERALL (9): even if it similar to Spy X Family, its line of narration and the events happen differently: humor is not set aside but the story focuses more on touching moments and insight, that's why I probably liked it more.
