NO!
I waited so long for the Link Click's sequel to came out and... this is the result.
Firstly, I'll say that I liked the 1st season a lot: I found the idea of changing the past with pictures really interesting.
The plot was treated exactly as a slice-of-life where two teens offered their powers to alterate the future of their customers.. and that's it.
The story ends when one of them gets stabbed from the other one's sister.
Obviously, it creates a lot of hype: what's gonna happen next?
Aaaand after watching two episodes of the 2nd season, I regret doing it.. it was a punch in the gut.
Forget how
...
the plot was before, because it will turn into an action-like story where you'll mainly see fist fights or similar.
Time travel's theme will occupy up to three episodes.. no more, no less.
An endless streak of useless characters without charm will be badly introduced, just because the plot needs them: many of them are living stereotypes, having mundane conversations and puncutally removed when they fulfill their meaningless role.
Events often happen without a motivation (for example, Lu Guang racing through the city like a marathon runner without bleeding out and stealing a.. motorboat.. from who, where and when?).
Talking about art style, nothing has changed from the 1st season: I liked it a lot and I found it pleasant to watch.
I'm really sorry I had all these expectations about this anime because I thought it had a huge potential.
It really disappointed me and in 9 episodes, when I saw the antagonists chain laughing as if they where in a '90 film, I lost my will to continue it.
Strongly NOT recommended, this isn't Link Click.

Before we start, I apologize because I'm gonna be a bit rude in this review, but I need to vent after going through this mess.
After watching anime like Monster and Steins:Gate, this is the bottom of the barrel, the alter ego of a well-written mystery show.
Why? Let's talk about it.
The story itself is not bad at all and there are all the pre-conditions to keep it going.
The narration is the main problem: probably who had the job to develop the plot, the characters and their interactions never read a detective story and never approached a time-travel story.
ART (7): sincerly, for anime like this I don't
...
feel like argumenting it anymore. Classic shounen-art, no more, no less.
SOUNDS (7): same thing..
PLOT (6+): let's scrape the surface. The story, as I said previously, has a good starting point: a teen coming back to his birthplace who has to deal with some mysterious entities that are planning to destroy the island and its population for their own purpose.
The main character, everytime he dies, travels back in time but always an hour later from the previous loop, so he has a certain amount of attempts in order to solve the mystery.
Based on what he does in every temporary loop, he'll be able to manage the future events and find a solution to defeat the shadows who menace his friends.
And it's fine like that.
The problem becomes evident as the plot goes towards the end: from few simple slowly-explained events, we go to a bland slop of random chaotic events happening without a reason.
There are no valid motivations to explain whatever is happening: even if it is bull***t, everything goes as long as the story continues.
I could agree with you if it was a story based on humor, like Konosuba, because no one is asking characters to be smart or the story to make sense; but Summertime Render is not like that: humor is often shown in out of place moments (for example, when an "important" character is dying) while the story itself is really serious and many people are risking their lives.
It is really a shame, because there's something even worse..
CHARACTERS (2): and what lies on the bottom of the barrel? The worst of the worst.
In all my life, I've watched plenty of animes and I've never seen such pitiful characters.
I watched 25 episodes of this, all the while insulting the characters one by one, and still I can't believe I went through this with no serious brain damage.
Let's explain why:
- Ajiro Shinpei - an idiot: I think even in real life I'd find it difficult to have sympathy for a guy like him.
This guy makes of the sentence "let's take a bird's eye-view" his motto, spamming it enough to make you hope he dies soon (even if the a**hole resurrects). The only thing he doesn't get is that without a brain eyes are of no use: he goes from convoluted reasonings with no conclusion to not being able to understand even the simplest of things with a surreal lack of intelligence and charm.
And that's our little beloved Shinpei, of whom I'll stop talk immediately because I could go on till tomorrow.
- Mio and Sou - I put them together because I think they have the same IQ level (i.e 4). Two living clichès, introduced just to have some 4th-category, mundane and meaningless dialogues with the only goal of pushing you to suicide.
Almost completely useless for the plot, because most of the time they're not even involved in the main events but are just there to cheer Shinpei up, who eventually dies anyway.
While Mio whines constantly, with such original dialogues as "don't go, it's dangerous, I'll come with you (dying without an actual purpose)", Sou is a frustated guy who opens his mouth never saying anything meaningful, and acts just to show everyone he can do something useful... mmmh, no, not even remotely.
- Ushio - tipical rebel girl who shows her fortitude while she's suffering like a beaten dog. She just fights in place of Shinpei (considering how it's a miracle for him just to be able to speak coherently) and gives hope to everyone.
A bit banal, exactly like Kaori in Your Lie in April, but an appreciable character for sure.
- Hizuru - classic gloomy and edgy goth girl with a huge and painful past, with great combat skills and an above average breast size that characters like her need. Exactly like Ushio, nothing original, but actually one of the "best" characters in the show.
- Karikiri - how could I not talk about the main evil character of the anime? The great and feared Karikiri!
The dumbest and most clichèd villain of all time: he's so powerful that he hasn't problems at all counseling his enemies, because he knows he'll win anyway.
He constantly makes fun of the main character, shaking him down if he doesn't do whatever Karikiri asks, then proceeds to betray him (after all, teasing Shinpei feels like stealing candies from a baby), sharing even more advices as if they weren't enough.
When he gets beaten down, he performs in the classic small theater where he comes out with a "THIS CANNOT BE.. NOOOO!"
NO F****** WONDER, ST**** JERK! IF YOU KEEP GIVING AWAY ADVICES TO YOUR ENEMY ABOUT WHAT THEY HAVE TO DO, IT'S CLEAR THEY'LL BEAT UP YOUR A**!
Well, I guess we're done.
OVERALL (2): yeah, I know the average of the votes is not correct, but I think that a plot cannot be as such without real characters:
Unfortunately, this show has too little charismatic characters to support the story.
I gave it a second chance after instantly dropping it and I decided to take it all the way till the end just to say "I did it!" and I assure you that I rejoiced after finishing.
I know we must respect every opinion, but I can't respect whoever put Summertime Render on the same level of Monster: this is the classic shounen-anime for who is satisfied in seeing meaningless plot-twists, one after another, and thinks that's the real detective story's spirit.
I recommend it only if you want to approach it ironically: in that case, it could be even worth.
But it doesn't have a crumb of seriousness or consistency for sure.

This show is not for everyone so, whoever wants to approach it, is advised.
"Ping Pong the Animation" is an unusual anime, mainly based on the characters' development and their bond with this sport.
ANIMATION (10) - it is literally written in the title of the show so.. animations are extraordinarly-well drawn (surely there were lots of studies about real ping-pong players playing): very smooth and fluid, they give you that feeling of watching a real professional ping-pong game.
Even if sometimes they do look repetitive and weird, especially when lots of people are drawn in the same scene, I felt satisfied overall.
CHARACTERS (9) - another strenght of
...
this anime, as I said before, is the characters' development.
Every single character has its own personal profile and story, shared by the same connection with ping-pong: they interact and share their own life and sport experiences, growing both as people and as players.
Tsukimoto, for example, shows a huge change from a depressed child playing without a purpose, just because he has an innate talent, to a passionate player who finally got a reason to live and loves the sport.
ART (8) - yeah, I know many people criticized it because it looks awful and characters are drawn differently in each frame.
It is not the point of this art style, but I also understand everyone has its own taste.
Personally, I found it very coeherent with the show: it followed the manga's guidelines and, even if it looks outdated, it's actually in line with the historical period it is set in.
Something more modern would be unpleasant and completely out of the time, so I think using the same art style from the 1996 was a smart choice.
SOUND (8-) - honestly, I had good vibes listening to soundtracks, especially during ping-pong matches. So, I found them fine overall.
PLOT (7) - nothing outstanding: people just keep playing ping-pong 'till the end.
The events happening during the show are bland, only made for backgrounding every dialogue and that's it.
I'm not saying it is bad, but not even great.
OVERALL (9) - if I hadn't trusted the other users evalutations, I wouldn't have given this anime a try: initially, the art style kept me away because of its quirkyness but, in the end, I learned to not judge a book by its cover.
I found "Ping Pong the Animation" a really interesting show: very careful about details, treating the sport topic in a unique way.
I recommend you give it at least a try.
For me, it was definitely worth watching.

The huge "emotionless" golem caring about a little girl without parents.
"It seems a good start for a plot, so why I don't give it a try?"
And, honestly, I liked it 'till the end but I found some elements leaving me a bitter taste.
ART (9): I don't understand how people can say this art style is standard.
I don't think it is original either, but colors and shapes are studied and drawn very well.
Most of the creatures and monsters have an interesting anatomy; natural and artificial scenarios totally give you that "fantasy" feeling and create a great atmosphere.
SOUND (9-): I hardly catch sounds watching animes because, typically
...
I focus more on looking at details.
I don't know why, but since the first episode, some soundtracks got my attention.
I found them entirely coherent with the scene where they were played and I liked them a lot.
PLOT (8-): not that original, but surely enjoyable.
A golem protecting a forest finds a little orphan human child and promises himself to travel and take her back to her village.
Many events happen during the journey and they find several people helping them with their goal.
CHARACTERS (7-): that was really unfortunate.
The main reason why I can't give this show more than this is related to the bad development of characters.
Somali is a completely unrealistic child: she gets everything quickly, thinks like a teen but acts like a crying baby and doesn't have an interesting psychological profile.. she just exist in order to be an awfully standard "uwu" element that the plot absolutely needs.
I actually liked Mr.Golem but I found some facts about his behaviour feeling a bit hypocritical: it looks like a gloomy and repressed teen refusing to show his emotions and acting like he hasn't them at all.
During the plot, he clearly shows he cares about Somali but still refuses to accept its own nature, just because golems are supposed to be like that.. pfff, boring.
Other characters are fine because they're supposed to only join the show to create some humor and enrich the plot.
OVERALL (8): the anime clearly wants to give you a message about racism and discrimination, but in an exaggerated way.
Humanity is a horrible cowardly species that kills monsters because they fear them; now monsters want to get revenge and exterminate them in exchange.
This is the major point of the show: we're not so different from "monsters" or "golems" and we must learn and accept them because they're like us (basically explained).
Therefore, I didn't focus so much on the plot itself because it wasn't that important but it was just the way to carry this lesson that, unfortunately, not everyone understands.

I thought there could not be a show like Spy X Family that I could enjoy as much as it.
I was definitely wrong: Buddy Daddies was really a surprise.
ANIMATIONS (10): surely the highlight of the show is this: every scene is extremely well-detailed, fluid and realistic, in particular dynamic ones like gunfights and hand-to-hand combats. I hardly saw animators put all this effort on animating a cartoon and I really didn't expect it from this one.
CHARACTERS (9): if it weren't for 2 or 3 elements, surely characters would get a 10.
I loved most of them: they're very charismatic, have a funny sense of humor and
...
their dialogues felt very realistic.
Almost all of them are connected by similar horrible experiences and this helps characters interacting and emphatize with each other, creating a basic scenario, but always entertaining and pleasant to watch.
PLOT (8): the concept is similar to Spy X Family but presented in a different and original way: two assassins working for the Mafia have their lives completely changed after meeting a little child.
They can't actually stay with her because she's obviously an impediment for their job; anyway, they get attached to her and try to go on, even if it will be dangerous and they clearly know it.
I think the story is a bit too short and there isn't enough time for the anime to deepen some aspects of the plot, but I didn't really care and I found that the entire show had a solid structure and was really enjoyable.
ART (8): it is a common art style that many animes share, so my review won't be different: it is satisfying to watch, every characters is characterized very well in how they look (facial expressions, clothes, colors, etc.), standard environments and pretty good colors and lights.
OVERALL (9): even if it similar to Spy X Family, its line of narration and the events happen differently: humor is not set aside but the story focuses more on touching moments and insight, that's why I probably liked it more.

I randomly approached this anime and it was surprisingly good.
I'll say in advance that fishing doesn't appeal to me, even if I practiced it sometime: by the way, this wasn't the main reason because I liked Tsuritama this much.
PLOT (7): everyone can come up with a story like this, because it's extremely simple; anyway, the plot is treated in an original way.
A guy is chosen to save the world from a mysterious enemy and, in order to do that, he has to... fish.. yeah, kinda weird but it definitely felt like a breath of fresh air.
No need to create new universes, extraterrestrial creatures, strange space
...
machines or epic sci-fi battles: everything happens on the Earth in the most common manners and it is actually fine.
CHARACTERS (8): I wouldn't expect that from a show like this, but the characters are skilfully written.
Almost every character has a good psychological profile and a "realistic" behaviour: they show a huge improvements both in their relationships and emphatic capabilities as they grow and that's what I appreciate the most in an anime.
Even Haru himself (an alien) has an understandable, childish behaviour: he acts exactly like a person completely out of the world but curious to find out how it works, sometimes being selfish but trying to avoid hurting others.
ANIMATIONS (7): nothing outstanding but also not bad.
There's a bit of a difference between a close-up scene and a panoramic one: when a dynamic scene is drawn close to the camera's point of view, the animations look quite refined.
Conversely, when something happens very far, every detail is extremely simplified and the animation loses its perspective and its charm.
ART (8): it isn't really my kind of artstyle but I liked it a lot.
Bordered shadows, saturated colors (a bit too much for my own taste) and thin lineart gives to the settings a good look.
SOUND (7): i'm not really a sound-guy, but I did enjoy the soundtracks.
Intro and outro themes didn't really leave me anything.
Surely I won't remember Tsuritama for the music.
OVERALL (8): from my point of view, this category of anime doesn't "need" a plot: a slice-of-life just has to show you how normal people commonly live their lives based on their characterization.
Ironically, that's why I enjoyed Tsuritama: even if it fits completely into its genre, the fact that it has a more-structured plot doesn't feel bad at all but makes it more entertaining and funny to watch.
Meanwhile, it keeps developing every characters using fishing as the main escamotage.
Unfortunately, the ending episode didn't satisfy me at all, but I can't rate this anime less than 8.
If you like this sort-of story, I highly recommend it.

After 15 episodes, I had to give up.
It was really painful to watch Ranking of Kings: after the first three episodes, the plot slowly becomes completely non-sense and characters act stupidly most of the time.
I'll explain briefly which are the best and worst points of this show for me:
ART & ANIMATIONS (8): the anime's cartoon style is actually pretty good and portrays decently every character.
Good settings, colors and animations: dynamic and well-detailed (I couldn't expect less from an "overrated" action anime).
CHARACTERS (5): I'll give only a 5 because for the reason I mentioned before: they're well-drawn. Only that.
Most of the time the characters act without
...
a purpose, doing non-sense things.
Their interactions are extremely mundane and part of the "cast" is even useless for the plot.
PLOT (2): terrible.. TERRIBLE!
The beginning of the story is decently introduced and then.. everything flows completely uncontrolled.
Who wrote the plot, probably had a deadline of 2 hours because I can't understand how randomly every single situation came off.
Every main aspect of the story is poorly explained (or not at all): the reasons why someone has to do a specific thing are stupid or too obvious.
Too many useless flashbacks: if you can't study and put on a good psychological profile on every character, it doesn't mean you have to force people watching their previous life constantly.. no one cares and no one needs it.
Everything happens without a logic, just because the plot has to go on and there's absolutely no care for details: you just have to see a cute deaf-mute kid become a king and the writers pretend that's enough to make the entire anime enjoyable...
Ehm, no.
I was really disappointed about this anime.
It was giving me really good vibes since the start but it slowly kept getting worse just because the plot was less important than the art style.

This is the first time ever I need to write a review 'bout an anime.
Why? Because I feel it was good but not enough to make me say "This is a real masterpiece".
What a clichè: initially, the main theme (music) kept me away from watching Your Lie in April because it is slightly away from my main interests but I wanted to give it a try.
Let's start with the first impressions, then I'll go for the scores.
The first episode is nothing special: introduces the characters and the plot, vaguely.. the music is almost absent.
From the second episode, the "first" part of the plot actually
...
starts: the main character, Arima Kousei, is going to face his biggest fear with the help of a violinist girl, in order to get back playing piano as he was used to do before his mother's death.
After about 10 episodes, the "second" (and the most annoying) part of the plot transforms the anime in a really boring teen-romance where the characters keep repeating the same things, just to extend the story as long as they can: the music doesn't even look like the main theme anymore.. but the storywriters are trying to convince you otherwise.
The unnumerable signs pointing to what was going to happen make the ending obvious but I thought that, somehow, it didn't look so bad.
Now, let's go with the scores and I'll go from the best to the worst point:
MUSIC (9): that was obvious, how can I not give this score to the music? It is surely the most important thing that kept me watching this anime, even if I'm not that into the classic genre: it just sounds so good!
And that's enough.. I don't know anything about the topic so I can't say anything else.
ANIMATIONS (8): especially when the characters are up to play an instrument, the animations looks incredibly smooth and relaxing, practically realistic and the camera angles are managed very well.
ART (8): pretty similar to 3-gatsu no Lion but more colorful. Awesome scenes and pretty-well refined details.
PLOT (6): yeah, we're starting to go deeper. As I said earlier, the plot switches from a young-pianist growth to a 3rd category soap-opera where the music is set aside, leaving room for the characters' relationship """DEVELOPMENT""" topic.
Just a boring sequence of scenes where the characters are never pleased about Arima's behaviour: sometimes they want to be ignored and the next two minutes they need attention.
It's just an unpleasant never-ending circus where no one is satisfied of his own situation and new useless characters are introduced in the plot doing the same thing and repeating the same quotes.
CHARACTERS (5): if there's something worse and more mundane than the plot, here we are.
The characters are just awful. Saving Arima and Kaori, who somehow create a nice although clichéd love-story connected to music, the secondary characters are just living stereotypes who Arima needs (maybe.. or maybe not) in order to grow both as a pianist and as a person.. nothing else.
As mentioned, they're incredibly obvious and repetitive, acting like never-changing immature teens with zero development. They're existance is only aimed to create filler dialogues and comedy (like Watari and Tsubaki) or just to create unnecessary rivalries with the main character (like Igawa and Takeshi).
ENJOYMENT (7-): I quite enjoyed Your Lie in April because it treats an uncommon thematic in a simple way: just showing it without focusing so much on the plot itself.
The story is not that original, but it is stable and connects every element so it can flow regularly.
The main reason why I hated it so much is because it lasts too long. There are so many episodes filled with unnecessary events, making the entire show extremely annoying (10 episodes would have been enough).
If you want to give it a try in order to listen to some well-made music, I totally recommend it, but don't focus too much on the story because it's not worth your time at all.
Definitely OVERRATED: playing good music is not enough to put on a good show.
