To tell you the truth i pretty much delayed to watch Summer Wars every time i got the chance to watch a movie and i kind of regret it.

I wont write about the story, if you want to know then watch it or read another review ;)

First i thought this Movie wasn't that interesting but with all that developing events it really got to me. Personally i liked it really much because everything seems to fit. The Characters are quite good everyone is playing their part and although the big event is quite sad there were many times i laughed. The Audio is the best example why i wrote about "everything fit together" because every Character got a Voice (i watched it in jap-dub and eng-sub) which represented the Character also the Sound effects are awesome (i got goosebumps at the bell like sound effect). The Art is really great and i couldn't find any "bad drawn" scenes and if you get the chance to watch in 1080p or even on Blu-ray it is really worth it.

Because i'm a person who tries to understand a deeper meaning of movies and not just watch them of plain amusement i think the message this movie tries to get to the watcher is not to rely on the technology that much and if we do it must be save so all critical system must be a standalone system. And of course the human factor, that enough people can accomplish (almost) everything if they just try and don't give up.

Therefor i think Summer Wars is in my opinion clearly a solid 9. You might think why a 9 and not a 10 because of all the good things i talked about. Well its not that Summer Wars has some bad points, at least i can't think of any, it just can't beat my all-time-favorite "Ghost in the Shell" and "Mononoke Hime". Thats all.
