When you think about it; it's kinda uplifting for the spirit. Civilizations traveling in moving cities; defending them from grotesque monstrosities and such. And the existence of spiritual entities that keep these cities running.

And then there are the characters. Whilst the lot of them come off as serious and bad-ass, this show is STILL MADE BY THE JAPANESE. So the loli must reign over all whilst the guys (in the spotlight) must fail at life.

(Get used to it. My personal opinions about this theme is never going away.)

We also get treated with that "Show Within A Show" theme: the "Legend of Regios" where the Japanese cast speak Englese. It's "what happened in the past," it's "a show the main characters are watching." Is Saya related to Achellia? Can Aileen write Saya 16 bars? (Dat last one'za joke.)

At the same time, it's kinda sad. The people behind the show focused on making characters that are cool, memorable, and non-pansy-ass. Unfortunately; the art of "counter-programming" will be a lost one under the tirade of otaku-pandering.
