This isn't popular and won't ever be popular. If you like watching lower budget shows that are more niche and likely only put out to promote the manga ( like this one ). You will like this. If you have seen Tomodachi Game and liked that, this is a great recommendation.
Some drawbacks in the show I would like to point out is that the pacing is just a tad fast, and the first episode isn't really all that exciting. The "virtual game" that is referenced a lot in the anime kind of takes me out of the show and feels a little forced or far fetched, but its not a deal breaker. Some side character backstories feel pretty on-the-spot as well. There's a lot of "coincidental" moments and I think comes off as bad writing, but that's kinda whatever. Just nitpicking.
Character development is good, and flow of things just feels right. Something is always happening, not really a wasted episode in it's span of 12. Story is good for one season, but isn't a definite finish- even 11 years later.. no sign of a second season. So do not expect a conclusive ending, but it was a nice ending for one season.
Gonna give it an 8/10. If you watch a lot of anime to kill- good or bad. This one is pretty solid.
