It's not a good series by any means but it's so stupidly funny that you watch it. Well this series is almost the exact same concept.
If you watch this with the idea that this is a chunibyo's story come to life, it becomes so much better/funnier to watch.
I think the biggest fault this series has is that there really feels like there's too many characters to keep in your head when all the fame and fortune go to a select 7-8 especially when the series opening and ending show off so many more characters, good luck remembering which waifu is at the end credits, at least that's how I felt. Anyway, you will never see a character really match our protag. He will always be the best and always correct even if by accident. It's really funny seeing all this B story add up just for it to be crushed by whatever our A story just feels like doing. Story is a bit cliche but world building is pretty darn good in this one.
Animation isn't special but towards the end you can tell more and more budget is being used so it's OK for it not to stand out 24/7 in animation like a few other giants this season.
Honestly just thinking all animation music and talent put into this is just average really makes you laugh more since the entire show just wants this premise of "staying out of sight"
A part of me is wanting to see more but I can also see myself forgetting a lot whenever the next season comes out so I'd really expect most to binge watch this to get the max enjoyment.
