I'll admit, coming into Witch From Mercury, I was a bit skeptical. Compared to other Gundam series, the beginning is pretty slowly paced, and I wasn't too keen on the series taking place in a school. I was afraid that it would fall into the typical anime school tropes, and ultimately, it did. However, Witch From Mercury uses that to its advantage and ties those tropes and the unusual setting into the complex politics that Gundam is known for.

All in all, my expectations for the series have been blown away. Witch From Mercury is a fantastic anime that I'd recommend to Gundam veterans and newcomers alike.
