Uzumaki was the first manga I ever read and I’m so glad that it was. For some reason I was interested in the premise of spirals haunting a city so I decided to read the first chapter online to see if it was worth buying the book. I ended up reading almost the whole manga that very day (oops). (To be fair though, I bought it after I finished it online because it was just so good).

Junji Ito manages to come up with the weirdest stories and just rolls with it which makes for a compelling read. His art is just phenomenal, every page that you turn is just a work or art. I didn’t know what to expect but at the first full page drawing I was completely hooked. He manages to draw in a way that makes you want to throw up (but in a very good way).

To be honest the hurricane chapters were a bit long for me but apart from that I really enjoyed this manga. If you like body horror i would certainly recommend.
