Okay, but hear me out, now that we're rid of training camp, it picks up the pace and becomes better, especially with the various twists lying in wait... and, you know, more Levi. Still not perfect, but a bit more worth it, especially if you've managed to get through the first season.

Same as in the last season, really. It's functional.

Arguably, again, same quality. Maybe the voice acting is less obnoxious, but my memory is a little fuzzy on that. It does tend to happen with anime that go on for longer.

I feel like things have gotten more interesting in this season, likely due to the various twists and mysteries from here on out. Granted, they, again, aren't that well fore-shadowed, but still.

||【 Openings & Endings - 8/10 】||
Opening - Musically... it lives up to the hype, mostly. It's the kind of music that gets you pumped and ready for the action which fits with the visuals of characters getting ready to go into the field and whatnot. However, they're already in war, so... I dunno, I personally find it a bit jarring. Nevertheless, Levi's cravat sold it for me.
Ending - Well, even that non-existent streak clearly couldn't last because the ending for this part of the series was a headache and a half. I just don't care for it.

||【 Characters - 8/10 】||
I believe there is some minor character development here, but honestly, it's mostly that we got to see more sides to existing characters and the dynamics continued to be more interesting than in the first season. Oh, yeah and Sasha becomes less food obsessed and obnoxious here... don't think it lasts though. Overall, this season expands a little on the cast, but I wouldn't say that is the same thing as development.
Oh, yeah and Levi has to babysit in this season, especially Mikasa, who is far too reckless and Eren-obsessed to be trusted wih her own life. Unless i'm confusing this with the third season. Still, I'm all for more a more human Levi... and maybe becoming a part time babysitter is considered development.

This is definitely an upgrade from the first season, as far as I'm concerned.
