This show was honestly a disappointment for me because of how much of a potential it had. When you have a theme like cyberpunk, you are almost guranteed to have interesting characters. The show indeed had very interesting character design and a unique style. Studio Trigger did an amazing job with the stylistic choices and the only complaint I had was that they did re-use some scenes way too many times. There were a lot of still images and looping animations as well but they were developed so well that it felt like it was more of an intentional thing and made me feel like I'm playing a retro game.
The music was very very very very very very overused and almost every scene had the same music on repeat. With that being said, the music design was also great. Even though I kept hearing the same tracks over and over, it still made me add them on my playlist because of how much I enjoyed them. It definitely took away meanings from the songs though. So for example, if the emotional track was used only once or twice on very important scenes it would've made me cry for sure. But even as an overly emotional human being, I had no emotions during the scenes that were supposed to be emotional, with the exception of frustration, because of how much I heard the same track on repeat.

Although the show had very interesting characters, I felt no connection to any of them except for only two. And sadly, the MC wasn't one of them. David had me in the first half of the series, but after a certain point, I literally had no thoughts on his character and he was just very predictible and basic. Because of this, I felt nothing when important main cast characters died and it felt like they were being killed just to make the show a little more brutal. The "sad" ending wasn't satisfying at all, and did not fit the development of the series. The ending was very obvious after the time-skip, and once again, it felt like it was the route they went with just to make the show more brutal. I usually do enjoy sad endings but this wasn't it. Storywritiing was the weakest part of this show and honestly I'm just so sad that this art style was wasted on this show. Overall, this show only got a 6 from me because I rate everything high and it made me mad enough to write a review. If I had the chance to erase my memory, I would never watch this show again since it is literally more enjoyable to look at the characters and know nothing about the story. Complete waste of time, I'm sorry for everyone who put such hard work into this show.
