As this show expands it just seems to get a little bit worse as it goes since it just has less and less continuity. Whilst I appreciate this season had an ending the actual episodes seemed somewhat disconnected from each other apart from heading in a general direction. The show was pretty good before being full of cameos from other shows and games etc. The issue this season has is it is like watching 12 episodes that sort of end up being connected but could also largely be skipped or reordered. They also try to break the third wall a lot but gets very boring by the end.
The story itself had just dropped off a cliff since it just seems to be standalone episodes pretending to be in a story. There is literally an episode that is about how hard can we rip off pokemon and then never bring it up again. It is like the writers rushed the story through too quickly and now are trying to cash in on the story with extra episodes that lead nowhere special.
The artwork is the main defining feature since it is pretty great and crisp.
The sound is pretty good in combat but at other times just falls a bit flat.
The characters literally don't change and have definitely stagnated. Even the new characters just sort of fall into a mold and stop. It is like they have been designed void of personality.
The show overall looks great, sounds okay, and has no real point but I guess roll on season 4?
