As someone who has read the Web Novel and Manga versions, this is a very faithful adaptation to the source material. I know a lot of people are hating on it for being 'power fantasy isekai trash', and it very much is that, but it's also satirizing the subgenre and genuinely not a bad story if you take it at face value. As someone who very much enjoys watching trash anime, I can clearly promise that this is significantly better than Arifureta and Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody, both of which sort-of set the standard for bad power fantasy isekai trash. Actually I'd say it's about on the level of the first season of Shield Hero (the whole first season, not just the first few episodes before it stopped being good), but you can call me Filthy McBiasedballs because I loved the source material of this.
There are a few little nitpicks I could make, like how some of the decisions of the art-direction didn't really gel with everything in a few places, how some of the satirical humor has been toned back in a few spots, how the first episode is something that while chronologically happened first didn't actually appear until much later in the LN/Manga/Webnovel, or how the animation isn't AAA perfect super high quality in every single frame, but that would just be nitpicking. The art-direction choices could easily be attributed to 'It's supposed to air on TV where children can watch it so it can't be too over the top', the small details and bits of satire could easily have been trimmed back for time, and the first episode doesn't really hurt the show overall since it isn't technically out of order. As for the animation, I have no idea what sort of budget they are working with, but I thought it was pretty good considering how other adaptations of other LNs/Mangas/whatever have been done (Strongest Sage with the Weakest Crest, Arifureta, ect).
Just watch it and don't take it super seriously; if you enjoy chunni LN protagonist shenanigans that are actually decently written, you'll have a blast with this.
