As of 8 chapters, very heavy on slice of life, still very little romance, but there is rapid progress towards friendship. Also, Kisaragi isn't your typical antisocial outcast. She opens fast to friends, and given that so far there are no antagonists, everyone gets to know her fast.
On the art side, I like Kisaragi's looks. She definitely does not look like your typical main female character. Her eyes truly are unnerving, and she would look like a guy if you change her hair, and yet how she is drawn as well as how her general demeanor is shown still exude a delicate feminity about her.
Given all that, pretty much the only thing interesting here so far is Kisaragi herself. Everyone else is pretty generic, even Satou. Yes, there still are distinctions to the other cast, but not enough for anyone of them to be called distinct. I'm hoping they bring out the goodstuff soon.
