Mixed Feelings
Yikes. That kinda sums up everything I wanted to say about this, but let me explain further. There might be spoilers.

It all starts when Ko, a 14 year old boy meets Nazuna, who's actually a vampire and also a bit older than him. But just a bit, because 20+ years of age gap is not much. Anyways, we don't want to dive into this subject now as there are enough people that did. So what does Ko do, you ask? He's somehow detached from the world, doesn't want to go to school anymore and kind of lost interest in life. This kid needs help. To top it all, he's an insomniac, so he decides to wonder around at night in hopes of finding some kind of meaning. After meeting Nazuna, the fun part starts. Or so everyone says, because all I see is her getting sexualized every two damn minutes and despite being older, she's surprisingly immature. Not to mention how manipulative and selfish she can be. The way she refuses to communicate when something goes wrong really irritates me. Way to go, Nazuna, having the emotional maturity of a child.
Also, all of her lewd "jokes" are not even funny. Didn't even make me smile once. Now, I'm aware this was intended for a younger audience, but that's not an excuse for how poorly written this story is. Imagine the controversy if our main characters had their gender swapped.

There's also Akira (yay, waifu #2) and as Ko's childhood friend, you would expect her to have some sort of impact to the story, but she's totally irrelevant to the plot, just like everyone else. The only one remotely interesting is the detective, but she gets less screentime than I would've liked.

Okay, enough negative stuff, I have a few good things to mention as well. The scenery was gorgeous, breathtaking even. Those purple tones were perfect. Can't ask for anything more. It's probably the reason I didn't drop this anime from the very first episode.
Another thing worth praising is the way this show is directed, this is proof that any kind of story, no matter how mediocre, can look good as long as it has the right director. I haven't read the manga, but I doubt it looks as good as the anime does.

Both the opening and ending songs are catchy, so much that they'd be stuck in my head all day after watching an episode, despite trying not to think about them. So yeah, they're pretty good.

In conclusion, I did not like it. Which is a shame, since I could, in different circumstances.
