Trigger may have outdone all of their previous works with this, there are nearly no flaws in the production of Edgerunners. However the twists were all kind of obvious, the character deaths could be seen from a mile away. There was only really one that surprised me, being the second one. At points the show whips out it's massive throbbing exposition and just flops it on the table, making for very stiff scenes. A minor flaw but consistent one is that every time there's a call, the text seems to be translated very poorly, with characters repeating themselves constantly, at first I thought it was stylization but it really went off the rails towards the end, and I'm pretty sure it was either a mistake or a stupid decision in the translation department to make it "cooler" or something. The show is also too short, this being linked the exposition problem, but it also has more drastic ramifications, being a lack of impact at times. People die left and right, and while minor characters are fleshed out quickly enough to serve their purpose, the major characters kind of had everything stacked at once, or not enough generally. Overall most characters could have used a little more work. Finally, although I understand what the ending was going for, it just didn't really work for me. I was just kind of disappointed, a lot of this sourced from previously mentioned points , especially the overall pacing and obvious twists. Overall it's worth a watch, though how fast it goes is an issue for story reasons, it also makes it easy to bang out in a couple hours.
Spoiler-ish stuff below, don't read if you want to be 100% blind.

From the very start, or at least after the first episode I figured that they would die, and honestly I was hoping that the show would surprise me with a happy ending, or rather a more optimistic one, rather than the more negative one that I saw coming ever since episode 2.
