Just finished Trigun and I have to say, this show is newly one of my favorites and will have a quite a hold on me in the future because I was that moved by it.

Not knowing what to expect and after finding out that Trigun came out the same year as Cowboy Bebop and Serial Experiments Lain in 1998, I kinda knew that this was gonna be fire.

I had a lot of fun watching Trigun. The opening and ending are unforgettable because the artwork and music are masterfully done. What really brings this show to life is the worldbuilding and atmosphere of Gunsmoke, along with its' main characters such as Meryl, Milly and Wolfwood. Then there's Vash who puts the cherry on top! The planet of Gunsmoke can be seen a place filled with dangerous cowboys, bounties and firefights at every turning corner. However, there's a flip side to this where people who are trying to make ends meet being that they're bartenders, a donut shop owner or working at a power plant to help their city or village stay alive to live a peaceful life.

One of my favorite parts of the show is how Meryl and Milly have proven that they're not weak characters and how impactful they are to the story and for Vash as they tag along with him. It's refreshing to see female characters who aren't afraid to fight and another of my favorite scenes of the show is when [Spoiler Warning] towards the end of the show when Vash remembered that he had shot Legato in the head, killing him (breaking his rule of no killing), that he started to go crazy by doubting himself and feeling worthless due to breaking his rule. While Meryl and Milly never left his side, they consistently tried to feed him and show him endless acts of compassion. Seriously, if it wasn't for them I'm not sure Vash would find himself whole again because that moment really broke him. And that's just one of them, there's many scenes throughout the show that captures emotion really well!

I would give Trigun a 10, because it's masterfully done that tells a compelling story of the Legendary Gunman and Tragedy of Vash the Stampede!
