The problem was the pointy shadows and honestly the animation is not that bad infact they did a great job mixing CG and 2D drawing and some of the characters had great designs notably Jin and Xiaoyu were my favorite
The fights are the highlight of this series as it looks like the game animated many of the combo moves were done pretty accurately. I was sitting in my chair like "Oh he did the move" remembering the days I played Tekken 3
The story follows the events of Tekken 3 and some characters from future games showed up too. It stuck to the original story for the most part and added some of its own content. The story isn't fleshed out too much but my favorite thing is how they went into detail of how much Jin loved and respected his mother Jun even the games didn't show the love they had for each other and the last scene between them when Jin accepted the devil gene was pretty well done.
Overall solid 7/10 for me as a fan but might not fit new viewers.
