Kaze no stigma is one of those action, romantic, comedic animes with a semi-cliche plot, but makes up in terms of its execution and character personalities. Perhaps one of the more defining elements of this anime is you have a solid male protagonist and a relatively useless female protagonist, which seems to be a bit rarer in animes nowadays (where the male protagonist is usually tossed around/dominated by the heroine). Anyways, to the more detailed review:

Story: 7/10
The whole series kind of flows in a U (high action beginning, decent end). You have an really solid beginning, perhaps the amongst best introduction arc I have seen in action animes. The first episode alone establishes the setting, character relationships, character personalities, abilities and context of the story. Then some would argue that the anime kind of slumps with "filler" arcs, but really, for only 24 episodes, the middle arcs are rather amusing and adds to the comedy of the anime.

Art: 9/10
The art is top notch. The characters are hot, the scenery is well done.

Sound: 7/10
The music is decent all in all, but nothing particularly appealed to me. The soundtracks for this anime is not what made this anime stand out.

Characters: 10/10
This is where the anime stands out. Kazuma is one of your most badass male protagonists in all of action animes. He is not your standard knight in shiny armor as in many action series, nor does he allow himself to be knocked around as in many other action series; he is blunt, cold, cool, and has an overall won't-back-down, doesn't-give-a-damn, but "will save everything because I can" attitude. Ayano, on the other hand, is a tough cookie, but in comparison she definitely doesn't steal the spotlight as much. As amusing as she is at times, she has her own personality (fiery and short tempered, but means well). In combination with all the character relationships established early on, Kaze no Stigma has a fairly entertaining cast to watch.

Enjoyment: 9/10
I have seen this anime 2.5 times over because it is very amusing and easy to get into (especially because of its stellar introduction arcs). It is short enough to have a high rewatch value and long enough to continually be entertaining.
Although not perfect, I would strongly recommend this anime to anyone who likes a tad of romantic comedy in their action genres, and to anyone who is tired of the TRITE-3 that so many modern animes fall into - a useless male protagonist, a dominating heroine, and a school setting, because kaze no stigma opposes all 3 of those.
