this anime is really iconic but i never really got to watch it when i was a kid, but today i decided to finally watch it and all i can say is it's beautiful. it's a classic. one of the most famous Studio Ghibli movies. i mean the title alone is memorable. the things i like most about this movie is the animation, the classic art style, and the score. the soundtrack is amazing. the story is fine. i liked the characters and the world. how Humans harmed the forests for so long. and the fact that we truly can't live together in peace with nature because humans are selfish creatures is really sad. other than that i think the movie is too long and somewhat boring at times. maybe that's just me. the payoff at the end was weak for me i feel like but again this movie is for kids so it gets a pass. and i think every anime fan should watch this work of art because it's important to know about this movie, it's literally anime history.
