NON-SPOILER SUMMARY:
*********************
Bokurano is one of the few franchises of which I enjoyed both anime and manga. If I had to explain what Bokurano is, I'd say it's a mix between Evangelion and Madoka Magica.

REVIEW WITH SPOILERS AHEAD!

STORY: 9/10
The story is amazing. A bunch of 15-year-old teenagers are forced to pilot a robot they call Zearth to defeat misterious enemies (it has a similar beginning to Evangelion), but after each battle, the kid piloting the robot... dies. The story is crazy and I love it.

ART: 8/10
No "waifu" material, no sexualized characters, no exaggerated haircuts, just... normal characters. Some of them may look identical but... they look real. The protagonists look like they could be our siblings or children. The art may not have Berserk-level of detail, but it certainly works well for the purpose of the manga.

CHARACTERS: 8/10
So much characters yet so much character development for each one, specially the ones that manage to stay alive through the end. Each pilot has a story to tell. Some of them are full of life and want to be something when they grow up. Some of them are broken and wouldn't have problems murdering people.

ENJOYMENT: 8/10
While some of Bokurano's stories were written better than other ones, I easily found myself immersed in the story.

OVERALL: 8/10
While both the anime and manga have a few plot holes, Bokurano is an enjoyable experience if you are looking for something that has Evangelion mecha battles and Madoka Magica's suspense.
