its a really weird show but in a good way. The comedy hits just at the right time. Give it a shot. The episodes are short and good. In this part of the anime you get to know the main characters in the next anime and how they became what they are in the Sequel. Give it some time i'm sure it will grow on you.
And one more thing.. Watch this and the Sequel in English Dub. Its way better
