So basically this is sort of like a prequel from the original series because it gives pretty decent backstories on the side characters who appeared on the anime. It was mostly to do with the old bird and Seven's love interest. I gotta say, not only were their stories decent, they were seriously badass and pretty deep. When I say deep, it means they each had their extremely unfortunate tragic experiences and made themselves on how they want to be recognised on the original series.

I honestly wish they could've made more ... episodes and continue with this series as a season 2 but I still found this very short prequel Chinese anime quite great anyways!

In this continuation that is actually a prequel, Killer Seven eases up on the comedy to deliver more serious storyline. This actually works well, as the "comedy" is quite weak in the main series while the action scenes are nice to watch. This way Cike Wu Liuqi Fanwai gets rids of it weakness while expands upon its strength.

Even with a background of originating from a comedy series, this prequel is surprisingly serious and dramatical, featuring the backstories of Thirteen and Dai Bo (the blue chicken with sunglasses, for those who have troubles remembering the characters name). The story flows nicely with a good pacing and ... the episodes are entertaining the whole time.

I have previously complained about the lack of characterization in the first Killer Seven series, so it's nice to see that those extra episodes provide exactly that. If you like the main series, you should definitely watch this. If you didn't enjoy the main series as much, this might be a quick fix for that.

Ok hear me out. Just stick with it. This is a prequel and you need to watch it. It's not really interesting but its only to get you to know the characters and the background. The episodes are short so its not a problem. After this watch the Sequel: Cike Wu Liuqi
its a really weird show but in a good way. The comedy hits just at the right time. Give it a shot. The episodes are short and good. In this part of the anime you get to know the main characters in the next anime and how they became what they are in the Sequel. ... Give it some time i'm sure it will grow on you.
And one more thing.. Watch this and the Sequel in English Dub. Its way better

I admit I saw these first and I ended up becoming confused about who the main character was due to the order that I watched. But after seeing the series, I find myself feeling attached to the characters since I know who they are and what they are fighting for.

Personally, I think it would be best to watch the series season 1 first so you know who the main character is and don't get confused about it, then you watch these prequels, then watch season 2.

Overall, a very good build-up to the first season's storyline! It made me want to continue to see what will ... happen until the end. I will not spoil anything, but hopefully, there will be a season 3 to finish the story and leave the characters with a very happy ending.

Interestingly, this 4 episode OVA which explores the backstory of 2 of the sub-main characters, is better seen AFTER Cike Wu Liuqi (Season 1), despite MAL saying this is the prequel, which, technically, it is. Of the 4 episodes, Episode 1 focuses on Thirteen (the female assassin) while the other 3 episodes are Bo Dai and Xiao Fei's backstory. Wu Liuqi doesn't appear.

I still hate the art (4/10) but everything else is okay. The story is very good (8/10) and it is the characters which make this a better anime than Season 1.

Thirteen is born the thirteenth daughter to a family of renowned martial artists, ... BUT her father refuses to pass on the art to them as they aren't male. Things happen. They packed a lot of social commentary into this very short episode and it's very well done.

Dai Bo, the blue chicken, used to live on a chicken farm. It starts with what looks like a foodie anime scene showing us how to cook chicken, then morphs into Dai Bo's nightmare. Ouch. The next 3 chapters are horrific, tragic and harrowing - reminding me of a cross between Chicken Run, Fight Club, Undisputed and The Great Escape. These are honestly extremely good anime, because there was one part where I kind of got so shocked, and before that wore off something else happened and I had to close my eyes. The anime took us to sad parts, then exhilaration, shock and horror. It felt like the feeling I had watching some of the best Game of Thrones episodes.

Based off these 4 short episodes, it's clear this is a hidden gem and more people should watch this series.

A series of episodes that tell us the stories of our protagonist's friends before they met him and what good stories, I am in love with this series for several things, one of these things is how they make each character have a background, even if it is simple. , this makes us get more involved with the story and want to see more of it as the episodes go by, without a doubt this series of four episodes will give you various perspectives such as the past of our blue friends and the murderess thirteen, with a simple but fun plot of what led ... them to become the people they currently are and what happened to meet our protagonist.
If you have the opportunity to see these episodes, watch them, I swear you won't regret it at all.

Una serie de episodios que nos narran las historias de los amigos nuestros protagonista antes de haberlo conocido y que buenas historias, yo estoy enamorado de esta serie por varias cosas, una de estas cosas es el como hacen que cada personaje tenga un trasfondo aunque sea simple, esto hace que nos envolvamos mas con la historia y queramos ver mas de esta con el paso de episodios, sin lugar a duda esta serie de cuatro episodios te darán varias perspectivas como lo fue el pasado de nuestros amigos azules y de la asesina thirteen, con una trama sencilla pero divertida de lo que los llevo a convertirse en las personas que son actualmente y que sucedió para encontrarse a nuestro protagonista.
Si tienen la oportunidad de ver estos episodios veanlos les juro que no se arrepentirán para nada.
