Heavy religious imagery, Coprophagia, Violence both mild and extremely gorey, Pedophilia, And some instances of Rape.
If those did not deter you from wanting to read it still, you're in for some kind of odd spiritual journey. The main protagonist, which remains nameless for the entirety of the Manga, begins their journey in filth, and (SPOILERS) [eventually ends back in it.]
Its a tragic story of how the purity and innocence of a child can be twisted into a cold individual full of bitterness and a thirst for revenge against a society that rejected them simply for who they were when they were born.
It shows the injustice of the juridic system, of how people do not care about others much, and how insensitive some parents can be when it comes to a child's needs. So, tough stuff right away, besides the trigger warnings.
It kind of feels like an allegory for transgenderism since (SPOILER) [it is once casually mentioned the main character was raised a girl (despite being born biologically male) up to the age of two, then they switched to being masculine presenting. ]
Some pages were painful to 'drag' thru, but it was worth it anyway. I reccomend it if you're not faint of heart.
