The second part was just as good as I expected. Though I wasn't super fond of the first arc of it "The beast." I found it to go on a little too long, but nonetheless, it did help complete this story and give it more depth.
The second arc of this story, about Vanitas's childhood brother was my favorite part. Where they did what they didn't do in the first half and gave you more depth on Vanitas's past, and gave you insight into what went on in his childhood. It also gave us epic scenes between the two main characters Vanitas and Noe and they struggled with their own emotions towards each other in battle, not knowing how to handle some very conflicting emotions. The whole second arc struck my heart a little too deeply, and it makes me really wonder how Vanitas and Noe really care for each other, as they always make it out like they don't care.
I also enjoyed the funny relationship between Vanitas and Jeanne, as they struggled with their romantic connection throughout the series.
The last two episodes really brought insight on too the main characters' real feelings towards each other and the bond that has grown between them, even though they both are conflicted with themselves. I am really sad there isn't another season known to be coming out for this series, as it was one I really enjoyed and I'm sure many others will.
I hope a new season does come out. I'll be waiting.
